Christina Aguilera Sued For Fraud Christina Aguilera is being sued for fraud by a man who seems to be a bit delusional. Michael Dunlap is suing Christina for loss property, loss of earning capacity and other damages including “humility, harassment, lies, and slander.” But here’s the good part. Dunlap claims he is Xtina’s father. He says he has 26 children through in-vitro, including Aguilera, Corey Feldman, Hayden Panettiere, Vanessa Williams, Hilary Duff and Matthew Broderick. Source: H

Public: Don't Mess With My Flight Plans

Sun, 13 Aug 2006 11:58:25 PDT
"Pretty soon we'll have to fly naked!" The mass media rapidly embraced the UK terror storyline fed to them. The BBC, CNN, CBC Newsworld and other all-news broadcasters covered scarcely anything but the narrowly averted catastrophe throughout the day. Funny thing, but the general public wasn't buying it. The reaction was surprisingly cynical...

Cons: RCMP Raid Was a 'Publicity Stunt'

Wed, 16 Apr 2008 13:10:43 PDT
Pass the tissues. Oh how I weep for those poor victims of the RCMP raid of the Cons' headquarters. Not. The tories are scrambling to paint themselves as being oppressed after yesterday's raid (which continues today). The problem is that they appointed the two Elections Canada officials they're now suing and that they applaud the RCMP (even protecting Zaccardelli to the bitter end) except when they're the targets of a legally-sanctioned warrant. And now, they're also trying to implicate the Li

Spritz This, Procter & Gamble!

Fri, 21 Mar 2008 20:00:12 PDT
OK. The Home Made Stupid Squad (a moniker aptly used by my friend Jesse) strikes again! Welcome! So, again today I tuned into Newsworld for my fix of news, and lo and behold, there was Madame Woodburn once more, this time tut-tutting in her posh accent about how having a "beautiful fra

Steve Hu: Newbigin, Syncretism, and the Emerging Church

Thu, 17 Apr 2008 17:37:44 PDT
Not long ago I was doing some research on the Internet on syncretism in connection with missions and I was fortunate to come across a paper mentioned on the Tall Skinny Kiwi blog by Steve Hu titled "Are We Syncretizing the Gospel: A Reflection Upon Lesslie Newbigin's Definition of Syncretism for the Church's Missionary Encounter with Culture." Steve presented this paper to a regional meeting of the Evangelical Theological Society in 2007, and as I read it I thought it was very helpful in reflec

Jaxtr users allowed to send free SMS to 38 countries

Thu, 17 Apr 2008 16:24:01 PDT
Sometimes, even if it’s not really that hard to send an SMS message from my phone, I tend to avoid it because I can’t leave my PC. It’s not so much that I have to cut down on spending for texting, but just that I find switching from my PC to my mobile to be so time consuming that I have to consider not doing it. One thing that would be nice though, is a way to send SMS messages directly from my PC. And of course it would be the best if it’s free. Well, Jaxtr seems to have been reading my mind

Kristy Lee Cook Leaves American Idol 2008

It's now down to the Top 6 in American Idol 2008.
Last night, and as expected, one of the girls was voted off the show and it was Oregonian Kristy Lee Cook!
Kristy and two other girls were in the danger zone yesterday ... they got the lowest number of votes for their not so good performances of Mariah Carey's songs the night before.
Kristy stood there, side by side with Syesha Mercado and Brooke White.
After her elimination, Kristy Lee playfully sat on the judges' table right in front of Simon Cowell and serenaded him with her performance of Mariah's song 'Forever'.

Next week, the Top 6 will battle it out with Phantom of the Opera composer Andrew Lloyd Webber! That's gotta be hard!
